I love all things family, birth, and baby.
My doula practice emphasizes personalized care for the whole family. I strive to provide families with knowledge and support to make the best, most informed decisions throughout the pregnancy, labor, and postpartum process. Birth brings about changes for everyone - I am here to help families thrive through a period of intense transition.
My first experience with a new baby was the birth of my brother in 1986. I was three years old. I fell in love with helping care for him, and I have never looked back. Since then, I have worked with babies, children, and families in many different settings; as a babysitter and nanny, a Montessori classroom guide, a drama teacher, and now, a birth and postpartum doula.
I first trained as a birth doula in 2015 in order to be a useful presence at the birth of my “fairy goddaughter.” Her birth opened my eyes to the power of the human body and the power of connection during the birth and postpartum period. Since then, I have volunteered as a birth doula at several hospitals, and attended births all over the Bay Area. Following the birth of my daughter, I trained as a postpartum doula. I am passionate about reproductive and birth justice, and providing education and support to all birthing people and their families.
